The program focuses on the master of Yu opera Chang Xiangyu's experience of learning opera and her sisterhood with Chang Xiangling. Chang Xiangyu was born in a poor family in Gongxian County, Henan Province (now Gongyi City) in 1923. From childhood, she followed her father Zhang Fuxian to leave her hometown and learn opera. She appeared on the stage at the age of 11 and became famous at the age of 13. In 1940, she was injured in the performance. Under the care of many parties and her sister, Chang Xiangling, she eventually regain health.
