The program focuses on US federal judge Liu Chengwei's work and family life.Liu Chengwei worked as a helper in his father’s laundry room from his childhood. After graduating from the Southwestern University School of Law in 1971, he worked for the government as a lawyer and then became a judge of the California State High Court. In 1987, he was appointed as the US federal judge and became the first and only judge in the United States entitled to serve for life.
