The representative of the Japanese side of the blast furnace project and Ye Zhiqiang, the deputy minister of the Ministry of Metallurgy and the chief commander of Baosteel attended the meeting and made a speech. In the video, there were scenes of Japanese liquor spilling customs (signifying good luck), the lifting of the first furnace shell by the climbing cranes, and the sending of the first lap of the hot blast stove regenerative heat to the lifting parts. Some data indicators for the No. 1 blast furnace were introduced: the volume was 4063 cubic meters; the top height was 113 meters; the daily iron production was 10,000 tons.
