From April 1st to 7th, 1978, the French Navy’s soldiers of the anti-submarine destroyer " Diguier-Truan " visited the industrial exhibition hall, the suburban people’s commune hydropower station, the health center and the family members in Shangha. Accompanied by Xie Zhenghao, the deputy commander of the East China Sea Fleet, they visited the Shanghai base of the East China Sea Fleet. This was the first Western country that sent warships to visit China.
