It is about the launching of the fourth 10,000-ton export cargo ship by Shanghai Shipyard in 1982. As one of China's first batch of multi-purpose container ships exported to Western Europe, it was the third of the four ships of the same type ordered by two shipping companies in West Germany. It was 12,300 tons in weight, 147.5 meters in length with the capacity of loading 724 standard containers. The engine room was featured with automation and the main engine could be remotely controlled. There were many technological reforms in the construction of the new ship.
