The merger ceremony of Shanghai Bicycle Factory and the Second Bicycle Factory (formerly known as Shanghai Harvest Tractor Factory) was held in Cultural Square in 1982. The new factory was named as Shanghai Bicycle Factory. After the merger of the two factories, it become the largest one in China with 7,200 employees. There are scenes of some of the new models of Permanent brand bicycles.
